Throw your bath towel over your shoulder and walk the few steps to the beach, where you can bury your feet in the sand and refresh yourself in the shallow water. Stroll along the beach or fly a kite. There are marked hiking trails in the nearby Vejlskoven forest. From Saksild, you can also drive to Hou and take a ferry trip to Tunö or Samsö if you fancy a change of scenery and a nice day out.
